With Rosh Hashana right around the corner, we were hired to shoot some challah breads complete with a baking kitchen environment.
I looked into hiring a food stylist as I felt this would really benefit from a lady’s touch…. Alas, the styler I hired had an emergency the morning of the shoot & wasn’t able to be there. So my wife was kind enough to offer her services…. I must say I was rather pleased with the results.
Pull back shot of the studio.
1 light behind translucent paper with barn doors
1 soft box lighting the background ( baking environment )
1 bare strip box on top of the challah bread
2 bare lights with 20″ grids – 1 as the main & 1 for fill.
Another great opportunity to photograph some beautiful shoes for our local shoe store Shoe Depot of 18th Avenue in Brooklyn, NY. Large variety of shoes- dress shoes, sport shoes, kids sneakers, – u name it – we shot it….. multiple angles… it was a great product photography shoot.
I love the Photo Plus Expo’s There’s 3 packed days of inspiration, innovation & great lectures in the industry going on there.
We had some fabulous lectures with industry leading educators. Zack Arias, Jeremy Cowart, Bambi Cantrall, Sal Cincotta & many more.
But what’s really nice is to see the major industry innovators making a serious comeback. Fuji with their X100, XPro 1 & just recently they announced the affordable X-E1. Olympus with their OM-D E-M5 the compact mirrorless pro grade cameras with a retro design – NEAT! Perfectly designed for discriminating professionals in the need of compact cameras in various scenarios.
Yummm, the cookies looked so good, just had to have a glass of milk with it.
